Status: ETIAS is currently not in operation and no applications for travel authorisations are collected at this point. This tool tells you what will apply to you, not what you must do today. For timing, see the launch status tracker.
What this means for you
Your answers stay in your browser. This page contains no form submission, no analytics on your answers, no cookies and no storage. Nothing you select is transmitted, recorded or retained anywhere, and closing the tab discards it.
What this tool does not do
- It does not submit anything, and it cannot take an application.
- It does not predict whether an application would be approved.
- It does not replace the entry conditions checked at the border. Holding a travel authorisation will not guarantee entry.
- It does not cover long stays, work or study, which need a national visa.
The figures it uses
Every number in the result comes from the same sourced data layer as the rest of this site, not from the tool.
- Fee: EUR 20
- Fee exemption: Applicants under 18 years or above 70 years of age at the time of the application.
- Validity: Three years, or until the travel document used in the application expires, whichever comes first.
- Short stays: 90 days in any 180 day period
