Why it exists
ETIAS has been coming for years and has not arrived. That gap has filled with pages stating launch dates that passed, fees that changed, and country counts that were never checked. Some of those pages are honest and stale. Others charge for a service that cannot be delivered.
The aim here is narrow: state what is actually on the record, label how strong each piece of evidence is, and let the machinery fail loudly when something goes out of date. How that works is set out on sources and method.
How it is funded
There is no advertising on this site at present. If advertising is introduced, it will be ordinary display advertising, disclosed, and it will not appear on the legal pages or inside the eligibility tool's question flow.
We have no affiliate arrangements, referral fees or commercial relationships with visa agencies, travel authorisation services, insurers or travel booking sites. There is no arrangement under which a recommendation here earns anyone money, and we intend to keep it that way, because the moment there is one, every page becomes suspect in a field where trust is the whole product.
What we do not do
- We do not process, submit, track or expedite applications.
- We do not take payment for anything.
- We do not predict whether an individual application would be approved.
- We do not state a launch date the EU has not published.
- We do not give immigration advice for individual circumstances.
Who publishes it
This site is maintained by an independent publisher, and editorial responsibility for everything on it sits with that publisher. Its pages are not signed by a named individual.
What we ask you to rely on instead is the evidence. Every date, fee, validity period and country count on this site is recorded with the source it was read from and the date it was last checked at that source. A name would be a claim about a person. A source and a date are something you can check for yourself.
To reach the publisher, write to editor at etias-validator.com, replacing "at" with the usual symbol. It is the same address as on the contact page, which sets out what we can and cannot help with.
Accuracy and corrections
Every indexed page carries a "Last verified" date drawn from an internal register, not from the day the site was rebuilt. When a claim's source has not been rechecked within its window, the build fails rather than the page quietly ageing.
If you find an error, please say so through the contact page. Tell us the page, what it says and what it should say.
Language and scope
English only for now. We cover ETIAS and the EES, the countries and nationalities within their scope, and the practical rules travellers meet at the border. We do not cover Schengen visa procedures for visa-required nationals beyond noting that ETIAS will not apply to them, and we do not cover refugee or stateless travel documents beyond pointing to consulates.
