This Privacy Policy describes how ETIAS-Validator.com (“the Site”, “we”, “our”) handles information when you visit our pages, use the eligibility checker, contact us by email, or interact with the advertisements served on the Site. We have written this policy in plain English and kept it as short as we can while still covering everything you ought to know. Our guiding principle is simple: we collect as little as possible, store as little as possible, and never sell anything we do hold.
ETIAS-Validator.com is an independent, privately operated reference portal. We are not affiliated with the European Union, the European Commission, Frontex, eu-LISA, or any government authority. The eligibility checker on this Site processes everything you enter entirely within your own web browser using JavaScript. Your nationality, age, intended length of stay, purpose of travel, and destination are never transmitted to our servers, never written to a database, and never shared with any third party. When you close the tab, the answers are gone — we have no copy and no way to retrieve them. The tool works on the same principle as a calculator: input and output stay on your device.
Like virtually every website on the open internet, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard server logs whenever a page is requested. These logs typically include the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, the referring URL if any, and the browser’s user-agent string. This information is used for security, abuse prevention, and basic operational diagnostics. We do not combine these logs with any personal information and do not use them to build profiles of individual visitors.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate site usage — which pages are popular, how readers arrive, what countries our audience comes from at a country level. These analytics are configured to avoid collecting personally identifiable information and are used only to help us decide which guides to expand or update. We do not sell or share analytics data.
This Site is funded by display advertising served via Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to this Site and other sites on the web. This may include personalised advertising in regions where it is permitted, and non-personalised advertising elsewhere. The Site itself sets only the small number of functional cookies needed to keep the page working — for example, remembering whether you have closed an information banner. We do not run our own marketing or behavioural-tracking cookies. Cookies set by Google AdSense fall under Google’s policies linked above. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies for any site at any time; doing so will not break ETIAS-Validator.com but may affect ad relevance.
If you email us at contact@etias-validator.com, we will use the message content and your email address solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add senders to any mailing list, and we do not have one. Email correspondence is retained only for as long as is reasonably necessary to handle the conversation and any follow-up.
This Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA, where local age limits apply). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The eligibility checker does not require any personal data from anyone, regardless of age.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data-protection rules, you generally have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal data we hold about you, and to lodge a complaint with your national data-protection authority. Because we hold so little personal data — the eligibility checker collects none, and we do not maintain user accounts — most rights are exercised simply by ceasing to use the Site or by emailing us regarding any correspondence you have already initiated.
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Site, our advertising partners, or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date at the top of the page. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
