Disclaimer

Last updated: February 2026

This page sets out the limits of what ETIAS-Validator.com is and what we can responsibly say about ETIAS. Read it once before relying on anything published on the Site. The short version: we are an independent reference portal, not the EU; everything here is educational; only the official EU portal at europa.eu can issue ETIAS authorisations.

No affiliation with the EU or any government

ETIAS-Validator.com is privately owned and operated. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, employed by, or contracted to the European Union, the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Council, Frontex, eu-LISA, any EU member state, any embassy or consulate, or any other government authority. The use of the term “ETIAS” on this Site is purely descriptive — it is the publicly known name of the European Travel Information and Authorisation System, and we use it only to inform our readers about that system. References to the EU, member states, regulations, or institutions are made for educational purposes and do not imply any partnership, agency, or licence.

We do not process applications

The only place to apply for an ETIAS authorisation is the official EU portal at europa.eu (and the official ETIAS mobile app, when launched). We have no access to any official ETIAS system, no ability to submit applications on your behalf, no way to check or alter the status of any application, and no relationship with the ETIAS National Units that handle manual reviews. Any website, agent, or service claiming otherwise is unofficial, and you should treat them with caution — see our guide to ETIAS scams for detail.

Educational content, not professional advice

The information on this Site is published for general educational purposes. It is not intended to be, and should not be taken as, legal advice, immigration advice, tax advice, financial advice, or professional travel advice. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified immigration lawyer, registered migration agent, or other appropriate professional in the jurisdiction relevant to your situation. ETIAS rules may interact in non-obvious ways with national visa rules, dual-nationality questions, residence permits, and bilateral agreements. If your circumstances are anything other than entirely standard, get professional advice before making travel plans.

Information may be out of date

ETIAS launch dates, fees, validity periods, exempt categories, application requirements, and the list of participating countries can change. We update the Site whenever we become aware of significant changes from official sources, but there will always be a lag between an official announcement and our update. Pages on this Site display a “last updated” date where appropriate. Before making travel decisions, you should always verify the current position with the official EU sources, your destination country’s embassy, or your airline.

No guarantee about your application

The eligibility checker on this Site is an educational tool. It returns a non-binding estimate of whether ETIAS will likely apply to your trip, what fee bracket you fall into, and what to prepare. It cannot guarantee approval, predict refusals, or substitute for an actual ETIAS application. ETIAS decisions are made by the relevant EU bodies and ETIAS National Units based on factors that include, but go beyond, the basic questions our checker covers — such as security alerts, prior immigration history, and biometric data captured at the border. We accept no liability for any travel decision made on the basis of the checker output.

External links

The Site links to external sources, including official EU pages, news outlets, and other reference materials. We do not control these external sites and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy, security, or continued availability. A link on this Site is not an endorsement of the linked organisation unless we explicitly say so. Always check the address bar before entering any personal information on a third-party site.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ETIAS-Validator.com and its operators accept no liability for any loss or damage — including missed flights, denied boarding, refused entry, lost deposits, or any consequential or indirect loss — arising out of your use of the Site or reliance on any information published here. This disclaimer is in addition to, and forms part of, our Terms of Use. Where mandatory consumer-protection law applies, our liability is limited only to the extent permitted by that law.

Reporting an error

We take accuracy seriously. If you find anything on the Site that is wrong, out of date, or misleading, please email contact@etias-validator.com with a link to the page and a citation to the official source. We review correction requests promptly and prioritise factual fixes over every other inbox category.
